Chef Hats for our Cooking Adventure

We made chef hats together with our students.  They loved wearing them and they were so easy to make.

Materials:

  • a piece of stiff white paper (we used paper from the Scrap  Box) big enough to around the head
  • a piece of white tissue paper
  • stapler
  • clear tape

Steps:

  • Take the stiff paper to make the band around the head and fold it in half.
  • Insert the tissue paper into the folded paper and staple it in place.
  • Wrap the band around the head and overlap it.
  • Hold the spot where it overlaps plus a little (for errors – you don’t want it too tight)
  • Staple the band.
  • Carefully tape the tissue on the side then step it up.
  • It will look like a chimney stack – straight up. Now carefully fold down the edges to make it look like a little dome and tape it.
  • That’s it! Easy peasy!
