My students really got into making their own circus tents and it allowed them to include all the elements that they had been learning about. Some of my students added the “audience” in the background, which looked really cool.
I couldn’t have done it without my brother, Bruce Weber, for his inspiration and incredible assistance. I what my students to make models but he had some leftover sonotubes used as concrete forms but also for lots of other things. Using it as the base, he cut them in half and glued them onto a piece of 1/2 form core.
He also created a larger circus tent to represent a 3 ring circus! He think he had as much fun making it as the kids did working with it!
